0. Preface (Usability Notes)
   ===============================================

	This theme tries to be as usable as possible and is suitable if you work for more than two hours a day with a PC.
	It is tested for as long as 10 hours in of work with a small break of half an hour in the midtime and it proves to
	work well for the user (it is not recommended though). The recommended monitor settings for the theme are Contrast:
	50% and Brightness 90%. To be even more usable a dark wallpaper in the warm gammut is recommended. That is because
	the daknes help the windows stand out better and the warm (red, yellow, brown) colors do not interfere with the warm
	gammut of the theme as blue and green do.
	If you use the transparent panels try to find such a color and transparency that will not distract you too much when
	you are working. For best results try to produse as dark color as the default panel one.

	Thank you for downloading my theme!

   ===============================================
1. If you are using Metacity window manager:
   ===============================================

        In the folder 'gconf' you will find some settings and readme file for the metacity theme that add blur and smoothness.

   ===============================================
2. If you are using Emerald window manager:
   ===============================================

        Use Emeral Theme Manager to install the themes available in the Emerald folder.

   ===============================================
3. Installing Firefox theme, tweaks and fixes:
   ===============================================

	To fix all other issues you may install the Firefox theme I provide in
	the package by dropping it in the Themes tab of the Tools > Add-ons menu in the browser.

	Use the New Wave Configurator to enable a patch for the menus if you don't like the theme.

   ===============================================
4. Fix Open Office issues
   ===============================================

   The problem sis fixed as of Ubuntu 9.10 but if you are experiencing it
   you might try the following:

   For most of the cases selecting New Wave Dark Menus will do the job by making
   the menubar readable again. Still if you want to use the theme with light menus(default)
   you should use the configurator or do some tweaks to make the Office group of applications uses the Human (or any other theme you like e.g. New Wave Dark Menus) theme.

   You could find what to do here (the problem is still visible in OO 3.0):

   http://www.rebelzero.com/fixes/openofficeorg-dark-theme-workaround-with-ubuntu-804/8

   ===============================================
5. Use in root programs (e.g. Synaptic):
   ===============================================

        To use the theme for the root programs (Synaptic) you need to type this in therminal:
                sudo ln -s ~/.icons /root
                sudo ln -s ~/.themes /root
		sudo ln -s ~/.fonts /root

        That creates a link to the local folder where you keep your themes.

   ===============================================
6. Compiz-Fusion Settings:
   ===============================================

        You can load the settings that goes best with New Wave by starting up the CompizConfig Settings Manager program from the System > Preferences menu if you have installed it first (sudo apt-get install ccsm). From there you could load the settings that are located in the Compiz-Fusion folder.

   ===============================================
7. Installing Lock-Dialog theme:
   ===============================================

        This themes the Gnome lock-dialog window. You can download it from the wiki or Gnome-Look.org (see 8. Usefull links). Then follow these steps to install:

        1. Unpack files to /usr/share/gnome-screensaver/. If you update you should replace all old files with the new ones. You may exclude the README file.

        2. Open gconf-editor (Alt+F2, type it and press enter) change the entry apps/gnome-screensaver/lock_dialog_theme from 'default' to 'newwave'

        3. Enjoy!

        To enjoy this theme fully I recommend using a picture of your choice of size 96x96 px. You could change your current one by going to System > Preference > About Me and click on the button besides your name.

        If you want to get back you old theme you should do step 3 in reverse: replace 'newwave' with 'default'
